About The Bok Lecture
The Bok Lecture, a highlight of Starfest, features renowned astrophysicist Krystal De Napoli, who brings her deep passion for Indigenous sciences and astronomy as a Gomeroi woman. During her talk, Krystal will delve into the cultural significance of lunar cusps for marking seasons, explore Aboriginal traditions associated with the Pleiades, and share insights into Muruwari astronomy. Visitors are encouraged to dress warmly and bring additional comfort items like a torch, chair, and blanket. A marquee will be set up in case of adverse weather conditions.
