About Gladstone Square
Gladstone Square is located in the Port Augusta city centre, on the corner of Jervois Street and Marryatt Street. This picturesque square complete with rotunda, two gazebos and a barbecue area that provides a shady landscaped grassed patch is suitable for picnic lunches. Gladstone Square also has a playground with a disable swing and drinking fountain. A key for access to the disabled swing is obtained from the Civic Centre and Library during their opening hours (Library is open seven days a week). Points of historical interest surround the square, including the old Court House, Water Works Barracks, Presbyterian Church, the Gateway Inn, now a supermarket and several memorials.
