To reach the Yellow Beach Picnic area, follow Franklin Parade eastward until it turns into a gravel road known as Pot Boil Road. Look for the Yellow Beach sign on your right. The beach features calm, shallow waters, making it ideal for swimming, snorkelling, and kayaking. Amenities at Yellow Beach include a shaded gas BBQ, a shelter, picnic tables, tank water and toilets. The car park has space for roughly 20 vehicles, making it a favoured spot for children's birthday parties and community gatherings. A viewing platform offers panoramic views over the Franklin Sound islands, including Big Green, Vansittart, Big Dog, Little Dog, and Cape Barren.
