Welcome to the Wave Rally World Championships! A three-day action-packed windsurfing event in one of the world's best windsurfing locations, Coronation Beach, Geraldton. Wave Rally is all about having fun while racing your mates for the World Championship belt. It's an exhilarating experience where speed, skill, and strategy come together with a unique twist, you're competing on wave gear! Racing consists of 8-12 person heats mixed all divisions sailing a figure eight course through the lagoon and surf for spectacular action. The IWT (International Windsurfing Tour) has listed the event with a three-star rating meaning it’s the top-ranked race in the Oceania region. Geraldton is the hub of Australian windsurfing with its consistently strong summer sea breezes, warm water and great condit ... itions. Coronation Beach is the perfect venue for an event like Wave Rally. With a flat bay on the inside and waves on the outside, you won’t find a better spot for a wave slalom race. The Geraldton Windsurfing Club is Wave Rally’s HQ. The venue will be converted into the “Playas Lounge” where the event and party will be run.
