About Moura Museum
The newly built Moura Museum is a tribute to the town’s rich history and culture. It features a series of rooms, each dedicated to an important piece of Moura’s history and culture which will have television displays and information panels retelling the stories. The rooms include: First Nations Room Pioneers Room Moura Township. Farming Room Water Room Industries Room Coal Rooms: Divided into sections for open-cut and underground mining, these rooms delve into the history and significance of the coal industry. Geology Room Coal Shovelling Room Mitsui Room: This room, dedicated to Mitsui, part-owners of the mine, will display artifacts and gifts, celebrating their involvement in the community.
