About Kangaroo Island Marathon
Since 2015 the Kangaroo Island Marathon has offered runners the opportunity to take on a course that carves its way through the heart of a shutdown Flinders Chase National Park. Runners will be inspired by post-bushfire regenerating flora and fauna, undulating roads and trails, an exposed coastal section with views to the powerful Southern Ocean and a boardwalk leading to the iconic Remarkable Rocks. The race format encourages a spirit of camaraderie amongst runners as they pass by each other throughout the day. As of 2024 Marathon Tours & Travel have taken ownership of the event to elevate the experience for runners and spectators alike with dedicated travel packages and an improved on-course experience.
