This exhibition showcases and highlights artefacts discovered and uncovered during archaeological excavations in the Port Macquarie CBD, with a particular focus on the Clarence Street area. Each piece tells a story about the daily lives of local people. Unlike today, there was no weekly garbage collection. Domestic rubbish was thrown on site into pits or used as compost. Explore the layers of time that once rested beneath your feet and the forgotten gems from the past.
