Step through the door of Yallum Park, one of the finest Victorian mansions left in Australia, built for John Riddoch between 1878 and 1880 and largely untouched ever since. In 2025, the home was chosen as a filming location for Netflix's reboot of My Brilliant Career, valued by the production for being one of the last grand homesteads never modernised. This private experience takes you through the mansion's ground floor, including rooms holding Australia's largest surviving collection of original William Morris wallpaper, before a walk through the historic gardens. High tea is then served in the formal dining room, seated at the bay window John Riddoch himself once looked out from. Expect such fare as macarons, white chocolate-dipped madeleines, coconut lamingtons, warm scones and finger sandwiches, alongside South Australian tea, brewed coffee and a bottle of local Coonawarra sparkling wine.
